The columns along this spiral carpark create a great façade and is a perfect location for Look Up and Look Down shots. It’s a great spot to put your creativity to the test because there’s so many different perspectives to shoot!

This location is on the roof of the carpark of the Mandai Connection building. Enter via the main entrance off Mandai Link Rd and you will see a spiral carpark. Take lift lobby “B” to the highest floor and exit left. This Look Down viewpoint is taken at the top where the spiral carpark ends.

- Closest MRT Station: Kranji (North South Line)
- Take bus 160/170/179/960/961 from Kranji MRT station and alight at Aft Mandai (5 stops)

Visit during mid-day (11:00 – 15:00) when there is strong natural light. It’s great for shadow plays!
Field tips
This can be dangerous! The columns form a platform where you can get good Look Down perspectives. Also, pay attention to the incoming vehicles as you explore the area.
By using a wide-angle lens (I used a 17-40mm) you can capture the depth of field of the spiral carpark all within your frame.
Placing your feet out into the frame creates the sense of height. Use the openings between the columns as your points of symmetry.
