Republic Polytechnic Industry Centre Stairway

The Republic Polytechnic Industry Centre is on Republic Crescent Road. Upon entering, you'll be able to easily find the staircase that goes up four floors. My particular perspective was taken on the stairway from the 3rd to 4th floor (you can take the elevator). By MRT: - Closest MRT Station: Woodlands MRT (North South Line) - Take bus 169 at Woodlands Bus Interchange, alight after 2 stops - Walk-in to RP and pass through Block W1, W2, W3 until W5. Walk out of W5 entrance and go straight ahead — RPIC will be right in front

All months are suitable to photograph this staircase.

I recommend visiting during the day on the weekend or when the school is on holiday — there’ll be less students about.

Take your time and get creative! The long stairway gives room to try multiple perspectives. Top down is particularly nice, especially with a wide-angle lens.

If you’re photographing a model, let them move freely about and capture that special moment.

A model that’s wearing white or brightly lit clothing will contrast nicely with the stairs.
